Kevin Lehman

Kevin is a professional drummer and teacher from Lakewood, CO. He is a private instructor, teaches a high school percussion group, and also a Denver fire fighter pipe band drum section. Kevin is the current President of the Colorado Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society and a member of the PAS Drum Set Committee. He is a member of NARD (National Association of Rudimental Drummers) and the Sabian Education Network. Kevin just recently helped produce a series of 4 books of Ralph Humphrey’s curriculum due out soon on Hudson Music contributing as it’s proofreader. He has been promoted on Sabian’s media as a panelist on several Sabian Education Network round table discussions, as well as an hour feature Sabian Educator Spotlight interview with Dom Famularo
Kevin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as completing a one-year course at the Los Angeles Music Academy. He has studied privately with Ralph Humphrey, Dom Famularo, David Garibaldi, Stanton Moore, John Riley, and John Wooton, and is an active contributor on the Stanton Moore Drum Academy.
As a drum set artist, Kevin actively plays rock, jazz, funk, Afro-Caribbean and Brazilian music as a current member of Stairway to Hell (AC/DC and Led Zeppelin), When It Was (big band jazz), the Thoroughbreds (New Orleans funk/fusion), and John Romero (Latin Jazz). He is an active marching and rudimental drummer, performing with the Denver and District Pipe Band, and is the 2023 Colorado St. Andrews Society Chieftain’s Drummer. Kevin does freelance drum set and snare drum work having performed and recorded with many artists in Colorado and California. He recently toured with a national production of the musical “Motones Vs. Jerseys”. Kevin proudly endorses Vater drum sticks and mallets, Sabian cymbals, Duallist pedals and Rudimental Drummers pads.
